Reports of end-of-day till shortages prompted the Loss Prevention Officer to monitor employee cash handling, leading to the installation of the security cameras. Following a thorough review of the tapes, the suspect was determined to be key to the investigation. While in custody, the employee maintained his innocence, even when subjected to a strip search. After a long interrogation, the employee was determined by the Loss Prevention Officer to no longer be a suspect and was returned to work without involvement of law enforcement.
