GOP leaders are expected to put their own stamp on that department_s funding – while pushing back on President Obama_s controversial immigration policies – when they take control of both chambers of Congress next month. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen is putting 100 million dollars into funding a new cell research institute. The Allen Institute for Cell Science will provide scientists with a state-of-the-art facility to study cell structures. Allen hopes that by learning more about the way cells work, researchers will come up with new ways to fight diseases like cancer. Earlier this year Allen pledged ANOTHER 100 million to help fight Ebola in West Africa. He_s donated 1.5 billion to different charities over his lifetime. And millions around the world tuned in to the annual Victoria_s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday night. The show ITSELF cost 20 million dollars to produce.
