That_s right Vic, just days before a historic visit from US President Barack Obama, Myanmar_s (me-AHN-mar) government has released 452 prisoners under amnesty as a gesture of good will. The move is a sign of the many democratic reforms taking effect over there since the country_s current administration took office in 2010. Many of those being released were political prisoners or foreign nationals. Myanmar_s adoption of democratic policies has led to the loosening of sanctions from the international community. During his visit, President Obama will meet with Myanmar President Thein Sein and activist icon Aung San Suu Kyi. Back to you Vic. Thanks Peyton.
