At the annual Code Conference in California, Musk claimed SpaceX would be able to transport people to the Red Planet within the next decade. Musk surprised attendees by saying he was a big fan of the Matt Damon movie The Martian, and felt it was about 80-percent accurate. Soccer superstar Lionel Messi made his first appearance at his tax evasion trial in Barcelona Thursday. The 28-year old Argentinean and his father are accused of using a chain of fake companies to avoid paying more than 4.5 million dollars in taxes. Both men deny any wrongdoing. During his testimony, Messi claimed he had no knowledge of any fraudulent activity, and that he left his finances to his team of advisers. If found guilty, Messi and his father could face up to two years in prison, plus fines equal to the amount defrauded. A verdict is expected next week. And for tech geeks it_s the most wonderful time of the year Apple has sent out invites for a major press event scheduled for June 13th, which coincides with the first day of the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Like most of Apple_s public events, this one is shrouded in secrecy. Speculation is the company will be unveiling a bunch of major software updates. That should include the unveiling of iOS 10, a look at the redesigned App Store, and a rumored version of Siri for your home.
